Christmas has arrived a little early for me this year ...
Just found out here that the
CINEMA sign along with other
Paris Apartment Boutique goodies
will be appearing on primetime television
this Sunday night
( still can't say which show just yet )

So thrilled to be a part of Claudia's boutique.
As she would say, " I'm over the moon !" ;)

Bergdorf's Holiday Windows 2009

As a child, did you ever dream to spend the night in a candy store ?

All grown, my dream has been refined to an 8 story jewel box in NYC
on the corner of 5th and 58th.

Bergdorf Goodman's.

I will never forget my first visit there last year.
( and after seeing these images I wish I was there now ! )

Truly a place of mAgic and retinal delights.

This year's gift to the city was inspired by the writings of Lewis Carroll ...

Looking Up After All

It's been crazy week trying to get those ideas from my head actually executed into real life pieces for the Nov 1st Alameda Antiques Show. Then finding out this week that the show might be canceled !

Good news ... it's on and we will be there
( I leave in a couple hours so I think it's safe to say )

The Mysterious Mr. Head

I recently purchased this
and have to ask
has anyone seen anything like it ?

It's apparently a bust of JFK
and is literally made out of hundreds of layers of
white cardboard ( like posterboard ).

I'm sure it wasn't recently made
( not laser cut I'm sure )
&
after close examination
you can see that each and every piece has an
outline in black pen or paint
and was glued together after the pieces were cut out and traced.


How did they do this ?

It baffles me

I originally purchased it to resell
but I wouldn't even know where to begin describing it !

Any thoughts ????
